Client Post – Does Your Business Need A Mobile App?

I ponder the pros and cons of developing a mobile app if you’re a small business. Overall, I think it’s a good thing. Here’s the post.

Current Projects & Goals I’m Working On For 2018

Here’s to current projects and lots of new goals in 2018.

I’ve been working as a content creator for Canadian Virtual Gurus for over a year now. Check out my work on the blog here.

I managed to type away for National Novel Writing Month until killer tendonitis took me out of the mix. I did write around 17-18K and I was satisfied with what I came up with. A dystopian world and I’m an observer. I’ve never written anything like that, so it was a good learning experience.

When you write for a living, chances are you churn out a lot of content that doesn’t have anything to do with you. You write what editors or clients tell you to write. It’s always liberating when I get to do my own thing.

I joined a couple of local writing groups – the Ozark Romance Novel writing group are the best people! And totally inclusive.  Can’t wait to go back to another meeting. Writing is so isolating – when you meet like minds, it’s great.

Still slugging away at social media – I do posts, ads, etc. Logos, all that stuff. I still think social media is demonic. And since I live in the Bible belt, that should really demonstrate how much I loathe social media.

I’m writing a post for Medium about it. You lose almost all your friends if you disconnect from the mothership. I think that shows how sick we’ve become with our social media fixation. The things I like about the Internet are:, videos of normal people being funny, animal rescue sites, medieval killer bunnies and this is my favorite blog ever.

Happy New Year All!

NaNoWriMo : Hanging In There

I am halfway through the 2017 NaNoWriMo.

I’m at around 17k for word count.

I just got hit with a bout of killer tendonitis and long work hours, so I’m trying to catch up to finish by the end of the month.

Here is a synopsis of my novel:

My Death On The Internet

A woman in the MidWest chronicles the end of the American technological age and life in the “Dark Ages”.

I’m probably going to change the title but right now I’m just focusing on getting the novel finished on time.

NANOWRIMO 2017: I’m In!

I’ve decided to attempt to write a novel for Nanowrimo (National Novel Writing Month).

I’ll be part of the Springfield, Missouri regional group, attending those write ins as we all attempt to write 50,000 words in 30 days.

My novel is going to be called, “My Death On The Internet”. It’s a series of essays about my life and the social media age.

Drop me a line if you are participating in Nanowrimo and want a writing buddy!

New Feature – Live Chat

I’ve added Live Chat to my web page.

It’s a way to learn it better, I’m venturing more into artificial intelligence (as is – chatbots), so I’m integrating anything I learn on my website.

If I’m not actively online to receive chats, please leave a message in the chat box and I’ll get back to you!

New Skills – Pop Up Windows

Hello everybody!

I just learned how to create pop up windows through the WordPress platform.

These are a nuisance when used for advertising, but are effective for surveys and invitations.

Here’s a test one to see what they can do.

Poem: Women Who Love Angels

I love contemporary poetry. I came across this poem today. Great poetry and literature have a way of righting the world.

Women Who Love Angels

They are thin
and rarely marry, living out
their long lives
in spacious rooms, French doors
giving view to formal gardens
where aromatic flowers
grow in profusion.
They play their pianos
in the late afternoon
tilting their heads
at a gracious angle
as if listening
to notes pitched above
the human range.
Age makes them translucent;
each palpitation of their hearts
visible at temple or neck.
When they die, it’s in their sleep,
their spirits shaking gently loose
from a hostess too well bred
to protest.

New Skills – AI Bot Scripting, Infusionsoft Campaign Management

AI Scripting

Need a bot to take over your live chat when you’re not able to interact with your customers?

I recently added this skill. I can integrate, script and manage your online chat bot for you.

Campaign Builder

To maintain followers on social media you need to do more than interact on those platforms. Email management is a great way to get your followers to subscribe to a mailing list, buy products and stay interested in your business.

I can create product forms, opt in email campaigns, landing pages and Twitter contest feeds for your social media network through the content management system Infusionsoft.
